Women and the Media (2001-2004)

Coordinator: Snježana Milivojević. Participants: A media research group was formed by the participants of the Research Seminar which followed the two-year "Women and the Media" course. The group carried out two pilot projects within the two fundamental fields of media research – media message analysis and audience studies. The first project dealt with the analysis of visual representation of women in daily newspapers, while the other examined the Sex and the City TV series. Research results were presented in a special issue of the journal Genero, 2004.



Women ’s Literature in Serbia (2001-2004)

Coordinator: Biljana Dojčinović. The project was a part of the Centre’s teaching program, with the aim to reaffirm a history of women’s literature and to create theoretical framework for re-reading and understanding of women’s literature in Serbia.



Family and Parenthood in Rural Serbia (2001-2004)

Coordinator: Ljubica Rajković. The project investigated parenthood and family in contemporary rural Serbia.

Gender Mainstreaming (2002-2003)

Coordinator: Daša Duhaček. The project resulted in the founding of the Center for Gender and Politics, at the Faculty of Poltical Sciences, University of Belgrade and introducing master and PhD programs in gender studies at the Faculty.



Women, Science and University On The Balkans (2004-2006)

Coordinators: Daša Duhaček and Dragana Popović. The project was realized in colaboration with the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis (ISH), Ljubljana, and the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade and supported by the Ministries of Science of Serbia and Slovenia. The project encouraged the exchange of women-researchers from Slovenia and Serbia.



Teaching for Equality - The First Step Towards Integration of Gender Issues into Regular Curiculum for Students and Teachers in Serbia (2004-2005

Coordinator: Biljana Branković. The project included courses for training of the trainers, as well as programs for high schools teachers on the issues of sexual violence in Serbia. The Manual for Trainers, in collaboration with the Department of Democracy for Education, the Ministry of Education of The Republic of Serbia, was prepared and presented.



The Center also collaborated with the Center of Gender and Politics, at the Faculty of Political Sciences, in the following two projects:

Comprehensive analysis of gender dimension in education material (2008-2010)

Coordinated by: Daša Duhaček, and supported by United Nations Developement Program (UNDP). Participants: Jana Baćević, Jelisaveta Blagojević, Tamara Džamonja Ignjatović, Martina Vukasović, Dragana Popović, Adriana Zaharijević.
